so i'm going to turn Doctor of Locks
into a puppet show... and i'm wondering - does anyone know a good site for invented instruments?
i like the idea of music made from things lying around the house to fit the steampunk theme.
oh, and a big shout out to my aetheric sister puppetwych while i'm at it, big love to you pw!:)))

Date: 2009-05-29 03:05 pm (UTC)You can make a panflute out of straws. just bend the bottoms up to seal them and tape them. You can tune them by length. then tape them together and you will have a panpipe. drinking straws, that is.
I will try to remember other things later. I once illustrated a book with impromptu but real instruments. I'll try to find it and post more (I might or might not be able to find it now.) for now that is one suggestion.

Date: 2009-05-29 06:22 pm (UTC)Percussion instruments are, of course, easiest...
You could make chimes from old copper pipe cut to differnt lengths... or a horn for that matter, or flute, or even a xylophone type thingy! Tha's some versatile pipe!
