La Rouka tagged me. her will is law. i never normally do these.

A) People who have been tagged must write their answers on their blog and replace any question that they dislike with a new, original question.

B) Tag eight people. Don't refuse to do that. Don't tag who tagged you.

i tag [livejournal.com profile] phyrelight , [livejournal.com profile] chalissa[livejournal.com profile] recycledfaery , [livejournal.com profile] stoshagownozad[livejournal.com profile] shoelace2009, [livejournal.com profile] reginaclarejane[livejournal.com profile] alicia_h , [livejournal.com profile] scifi_muses

1. Make a list of 5 things you can see without getting up:

Ok so, with one exception what i can see is not as important what i can hear. Making the most of some bonus free time, i walked clear up and out of the valley and along some of the lesser used lanes and tracks. The sense of time vanishes as you pass stones dated 1887 and metal pillar-boxes marked 1947, this could be Thomas Hardy's Wessex, or i could be James Herriot or this might be Bletchley and i'm on the winding track between Hut 3 and Hut 8.

There are disused rusty gates that mark landslips since they stand on the lip of sudden drops or vast puddles.
But where I am now I can see little, the top of a dry stone wall, the mossy bank behind me, and the trunks of bare trees. But here in this woodland shallow I can hear so much; Mice scurrying under the cover of bushes, crows marking their territory call and respond across the wide sky above, there is the creaking sound of trees and rocks warming as the sun finally gets to them. And the river, I can hear the river splashing over stones and into the basin, more than one stream meets there, two distinct sounds, the streams and the lake. And the wind blowing across them both. For a number of months (recently) i have had serious hearing problems which are now cured. Never has the natural music of the landscape sounded so good.

The exception? Oh yes, sorry. The brown bare trees on the other side of the valley, under the  cloud they turn the colour of mercury, quicksilver grey. When the sun hits the clouds from this side of the valley, the refraction turns all of those trees purple, a deep vibrant purple - and i am reminded of the purple they cover the cross with during the run up to Easter. The Passion. It fits, the land here covered by a veil of cloud awaits the spring re-birth, awaits its transformation.

20. What was the weirdest dream you've had recently?

it was an oriental setting and you were married to a princess type who was an apparent air head, corrupt, a flake, surrounded by a nasty crowd of courtiers and what not.

[livejournal.com profile] kmarkhoover was talking to a very opposite person in a sort of confessional - a very calm, rigid clothed, heavily made up woman was talking back.

kmark had told me (i was some sort of priesty traveller guy) they were in love with this woman and had realised that she was in fact his wife in disguise but that he daren't expose her.

it was kind of tragic.

but an entertaining dream! that's what i get for re-reading Japanese set stories before going to bed!*

(alternatively)

I was with Paul McCartney, ok this is hard to explain, we were sat like Cale and Reed or the Fabulous Baker Boys towards the end of the movie with two pianos coz i wanted to wrte a song,
Macca was bad mouthing Denny Laine and tryna look rock n roll which was annoying so i was pretty rude in return. Anyway he says "Well, here's a song i'm working on and it goes -"
and then the *&^%*!  phone went - and woke me up!!!

I was not especially polite to the people calling me - a trait for which i am somewhat renowned.

*Might this make a good story?
Since the question here is perception; the man thinks it is - or is not hs wife. Is it the clothes? The attitude? Is that what he would prefer in a 'wife'? Is he afraid to speak out in case he is wrong and his happy illusion destroyed?
i thought it was a silly dream, but going back over it, maybe there's something to it. Is the man being taught a lesson?
If it was a Spanish Opera, sure - but by then there would have to be some kinda outlaw rival too, ha ha! "Come live in the mountains my love, dance by the fire with me and my followers, the wild gypsy flamenco of love is hot in my veins!" "Oh, well, ok then tra la la ok!" etc.
