ZODIAK group, it's Soviet/Latvian instrumental group (from Riga). The album by 1980 is most famouse their records

ZODIAC was extremely popular in USSR during early 1980s,
by the way, they did the soundtracks to some movies (in particularly, to sci-fi).

I think a mass love to ZODIAC music was explained with a wave of popularity of French group The SPACE (from 1970s) - it was spacey sound too.

the interesting is that both me and my school mate perpetually argued regarding these two groups. He said that The Space is the best ever, but I answered: "No... the best is The Zodiac!"
