Thank you for pointing me towards Only the Black Rose! It's a very lovely song, and very different from any Yardbirds song I've heard before, definitely leaning the Renaissance way. :-)
And thank you so much for commenting on the story. I've been debating with myself whether I would post the completed/edited novel to that version or start anew. After reading through it, I reckon I'm going to stick with it. There's enough that I left unsaid in that chapter that most of the new writing can fit alongside it without too much problem. And time travel trickery can sort the rest if need be. :-D
