"...I am rather enjoying reading back through... the scenes in the right order and write in the parts I skipped over... might have to excuse some dodgy bits of writing as it's not even a full first draft yet... I had an idea for part of the plot over a year and a half ago... a bunch of the characters are from six or seven years ago..." etc.

Well that all sounds very Shakespearean to me! Especially given the nature of bad quartos, composite texts, prompter's copies, speculative collaborations and even 17th and 19th century revamps and remixes and of course ongoing and often bizarre contemporary literary research.

"Am I still too young to say I feel old?"
Given the wealth of your characters and perspectives i believe you've proven yourself capable of feeling whatever you like - i am not going to judge :-)

As for the Relfs - ooh it's a strange history, touches of Hamlet and beards again!

Keith cracked up in the Yardbirds, grew a beard and formed a band with his sister plus his best mate... then they all fell apart during the second album and tragedy finally struck when Keith was electrocuted in the mid 70s. Jane is a shadowy figure who wound up at one point doing fishfinger ads! (which is sort of wonderfully 70s and Dr Who)

At one point there were two completely different versions of the band in existence at the same time!

Spooky music on those first two Lps. The back cover on the debut album says it all. Magic, Music and Madness. Claustrophobic as the castle of Denmark.

anyway enuff waffle from me, look forward to reading what next ye post. sleep well.
