I am rather enjoying reading back through the Hamlet inspired novel as I try to put the scenes in the right order and write in the parts I skipped over. I definitely want to share some of it soon, though you might have to excuse some dodgy bits of writing as it's not even a full first draft yet.
I'll link you to the start of an old version of the story tomorrow as Chrome threatened to throw a wobbly when I went to find it just now. :-)
The shocking thing for me is that I had an idea for part of the plot over a year and a half ago and a bunch of the characters are from a story that I never wrote properly from six or seven years ago! Am I still too young to say I feel old?
Those song drabbles were actually really useful in boosting my somewhat flagging motivation and word count towards the end of the month. Even if they did wander away from Hamlet inspired into Hamlet itself, they were still a lot of fun for me to write and read back afterwards.
Ooh, Renaissance! Yes! I listened to Renaissance quite a bit some time ago when I was listening to a lot of my music through spotify. I swear there was some Jane Relf solo stuff as well, though I can't remember details. I do have one song of theirs left on my iPod - Ocean Gypsy - and I'm fairly sure I have one or two early albums secreted away on one of my bits of tech but I can't really check at the moment.
Anyway, I'm highly intrigued by any scribbles in that direction.
I'm definitely going to have a listen to those songs and have a dig around youtube for more, though it will have to wait for the morning as I need to take advantage of a quiet house and a (somewhat) quiet brain and get some sleep! G'night.
