have keyboard will travail

Well the new keyboard is a GO. Hurray! Still having a few online eye to screen issues but i think i'll cope -
only problem now is the backlog of fic chapters and notes and the nearly incomprehensible handwriting they're written in!
wish me luck - it's quite a pile...

Yay keyboard! Though I do know the pain of unreadable handwriting. I remember it made my uni notes particularly stressful to try and read through.

Typing out my unhelpful scrawl is always a good time for editing, I find - and, of course, pretending that it was what I said in the first place.

I'm doing a bit of writing tonight and I also have handwritten stuff that I've been expertly avoiding editing. I should have something to post tomorrow, either in the wee hours or during the afternoon when I've been telling myself I'll do the cleaning...

Yes, it should be a good day of (not) cleaning, even with the lost hour coming up. Just think what I could do if I could keep that hour!

I fell in love properly with the Hitchhiker's Guide film when I watched it the other day. I vaguely remember thinking it was okay when it first came out but still feeling a little iffy about it. Now it feels both familiar and epic. I'm sure I'll be digging my DVD out next time I visit my Dad's.

I watched the film of Tony Hawks' "Round Ireland with a Fridge" tonight which was fun and exactly what I needed.

I've been feeling a bit sorry for myself since Wednesday when a set of stone steps attacked me while I was carrying a box of books down to storage. Ow!!!!

I watched a few hours of the Royal Ballet live stream yesterday, which was utterly mesmerising. The Red Shoes is still to come - not sure when though because I've got Taming of the Shrew to watch tomorrow before iplayer nabs it back just to throw it to the ether.

It's Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. And Michael York too! Oooh and Victor Spinetti of Beatles films fame! So it should be fun. :-)

It's going to disappear off iplayer tomorrow afternoon so I know I'll have to be strict with myself about when I need to start watching it.
