hobbit hole or hovel??

Well my place, my country maison du wytch or possibly Bag End, or possibly Wyts End, is - as you would see for yourself if unlucky enough to visit -
messy.

Very messy.

Very, very messy.

Messy raised to the power of at least eleventy one.

In a nut shell; not an easy clean, hard to tidy, tricky to maintain. Somewhat resembling this:

but y'know, rural.

So of course i am grateful and gobsmacked to have spent the evening watching my Italian friend work wonders around my token efforts (i may have washed up). She would say; "I'm bloody good i am!" and she'd be right - although i believe my exact words were; "You are a masochistic sucker HA HA HA!"

But i am truly thankful if somewhat startled to realise i have carpets, walls, floorboards and bookcases! WOW!

I should take advantage of miracle working chums more often!

Koff! Seriously, though - thanks V! :))

LOL! No chance, i use it to go back in time to when the house was last tidy...

1862!!! HA HA HA! :D

for the plundering?

[identity profile] alek-morse.livejournal.com 2009-11-08 10:55 pm (UTC)(link)
As you certainly know, the hobbits have a wonderful and userful tradition to present some inessential things to friends and neighbours (and to others) at own Birthday. May be, is there sense the neighbours to let in your Wits End... for the plundering? ;)))

nice try!

[identity profile] wytchcroft.livejournal.com 2009-11-08 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
the time machine... everybody wants the time machine...
LOL!!:))

= Wits End =
Bingo, Alek! :)
One should have his wYts tuned up with the reality to call the place 'Wits End' whYch is characteristic of Wytch.
So, while Wytch has ended his WeAkend in his Wits End he seems to have his wits back again to estimate the messiness of his rural mansion as the power of eleventy one (thanks JRR Tolkien!)! And plundering then will really look like sping cleaning. :)))

Oh, how wonderful- is she willing to cross the pond? ;)

[identity profile] wytchcroft.livejournal.com 2009-11-08 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
she's such a miracle worker she could probably do that on foot! :))

[identity profile] reginaclarejane.livejournal.com 2009-11-08 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee hee- I definitely need her then!

[identity profile] alex-kraine.livejournal.com 2009-11-09 08:34 am (UTC)(link)
=I should take advantage of miracle working chums more often!=
You are a bloody capitalist exploiter of your friends is what you are! (homeric laughter from behind the scene) :)

[identity profile] wytchcroft.livejournal.com 2009-11-09 11:14 am (UTC)(link)
ah yes, yes! a villainous eXploiter of the down trodden proletariat! What's that? and why? Well it is just mY nature to eXploit i suppose, part of being a wYtch - it cannot be helped but gosh, all these X's and Y's...
almost a G-nome!
But as we know gnomes do not a halfling make, they are closer to dwarves after all - hmmm what is needed here at Bag End then to help in our Marxist economic evolutionary calculus? Perhaps a pinch of salt and a large piece of PIe!!

Oh, my Precious!

Ha! LSD? ;)

Re: Oh, my Precious!

[identity profile] wytchcroft.livejournal.com 2009-11-09 03:35 pm (UTC)(link)
LSD? Pounds, Shillings and Pence? Ah the old Imperial money...
middle earth went Metric my friend :))

[identity profile] sidherian.livejournal.com 2009-11-09 10:18 am (UTC)(link)
She doesn't have a relative down under who could help me? I fear I may have been eternally defeated by the vacuuming. It's probably easier just to rip up the carpet (which is foul, renters carpet with lots of bong water stains, not mine I hasten to add)

[identity profile] wytchcroft.livejournal.com 2009-11-09 11:17 am (UTC)(link)
yes, in life i have often noted that though there maybe a lot of water under the bridge - there is often a helluva lot more in the damn carpet! :))

SCHLAMPIG!

[identity profile] aliasse.livejournal.com 2009-11-09 01:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I get antsy if I don't change the hand-towel in the bathroom twice a week (and even that's stretching it - in an ideal world it would be every other day). Also, that scummy stuff at the bottom of the tooth brush cup? That needs to be cleaned out at least once a week. My fear is that one of my Austrian relatives might suddenly drop in and notice the greasy insides of the oven door and a million other examples of Schlampigkeit. SCHADE!

Re: SCHLAMPIG!

[identity profile] wytchcroft.livejournal.com 2009-11-09 03:41 pm (UTC)(link)
oddly enough, ants and pigs have been something of a theme recently!

and crikey yes, if i had relatives parachuting in willy nilly i'd probably be a lot more self conscious abut my humble dwelling and the mess therein. Good job i'm a recluse! :))

[identity profile] chalissa.livejournal.com 2009-11-10 12:55 am (UTC)(link)
Wow, can I borrow your friend?

[identity profile] wytchcroft.livejournal.com 2009-11-10 01:13 am (UTC)(link)

[identity profile] chalissa.livejournal.com 2009-11-10 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
Dammit, I thought that would be your answer! And well, I was just reading down my f-list and felt deathly jealous when I came upon this entry, so I couldn't resist a pathetic request... ;)

[identity profile] wytchcroft.livejournal.com 2009-11-10 01:30 am (UTC)(link)

[identity profile] beshter.livejournal.com 2009-11-10 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)

[identity profile] qfemale.livejournal.com 2010-01-17 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
Then what is your problem?
Wrap some red velvety rope around it and start charging entry fees!
