waking the storm

(part two - now and here)

ah
! - waking the storm, waking the storm now
storm,
who stole that hammer from the thunder giant's hands
ah! - yeah, slipping in between his sleeping fingers
sleeping like the story says
singing to the children of a castle and a spider and a shop full of sweets
making off with them stolen treats
you and me babe
waking the storm
ah! - ah! -
the lightning come and the lightning come
ah! -
you and me babe
made in the light like the image we dreamed
made in the light we dreamed
clothed in the light
in the skin of a secret divinity called that name
we called that name
again and again
and ah! - ah! - ah!
we called that name
ah! - ah! - ah!
that sensuous name
ah! - ah! - ah! -
calls down the rain
that sensuous hymn
we're singing
we're singing
we're waking
the storm
ah! - ah! - ah!
we're waking the storm.

Wow indeed!
Where did this come from, Mr. Poet and didn't know it?! Or perhaps you do know you're a poet and I just haven't been around long enough to see it!
This was an amazing work because it felt like it came straight from your "gut", if I have to be so blunt, and right on to the page! It's a very visceral kind of work and I really, really like that...
Wow, well done there, my friend... truly.
:D

This (both parts 1 & 2) is awesome awesome awesome. You're making me want to take up writing poetry again. This feels so stream-of-consciousness - I don't know if you actually wrote it like that, but stream-of-consciousness/free-writing/whatever-you-want-to-call-it always makes for the best poetry, in my opinion.
