yes, i'm sorry it wasn't clear in the narrative, Percy was indeed lunch. the pride before a fall thing was sorta comedy (IMHO).
as for Levers, well - he was one of those characters like Hestor in the previous story whose little individual scenes got cut out and might get recycled one day. Maybe i cut too much - i've been told that a lot before, it's one of the reason why my stories don't make sense sometimes. Then again - this one was pretty much just describing a dream, almost exactly as i dreamt it so some of the logic jumps and geography reflect that shifty dream thing that happens. Anyway, enough of that - and on the next thing! LOL!:))
oh, one question - do you know the song, sing a song of six-pence, a pocketful of rye? i have no idea if that's a brit thing or not. but there are somejokes that reference it, which was a bit self indulgent probably.
