I've been squandering lots of my life on compulsively posting useless fanfic to FFF, but I did this very day purchase a copy of The Golden Bowl (have read) for a Writer's Workshop. And a copy of The Idiot (haven't read), because I felt such a fraud after my last one (I mean, even more of a fraud than usual).
